Functional engineer will be Responsible for developing functional test plans, test execution along with automation suite for platform-independent current and next-generation packet software encompassing the broad spectrum of CIENA's networking products.
Develop, execute and automate functional test plans to verify product capabilities.
Execution of test cases and reporting test results with artifacts using Test Rail.
Understand features through FS/Requirements or RFCs and able to defines scenarios and Work closely with Senior engineers in QA and to ensure required feature test coverage.
Conduct Test Plan reviews and incorporate review comments post review.
Automate the feature on python.
The Must Haves:
2+ years of experience in testing
Hands on relevant experience in test planning, test execution and automation • Hands on testing experience on couple of the Networking protocols/services: L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, MPLS, LDP, Segment Routing, BGP/MP-BGP, FRR/PIC, RSVP-TE
Experience with Packet Traffic generators
Experience in automation in python
