Responsibilities:
Collaborate with software developers and Business Analysts to understand project requirements and API specifications.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Katalon Studio.
Perform API testing to validate functionality and data integrity
Identify, report, and track defects on the issue tracking system, and work closely with developers for resolution
Identify, request and maintain test data for API testing in a necessary test environment.
Continuously improve and update test suites to adapt to changing requirements and project needs.
Participate in test automation framework development and enhancement efforts.
Monitor and analyze test results, investigate failures, and provide clear and actionable feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in API testing and automation.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software testing.
Solid understanding of API concepts, SOAP, RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON.
Hands-on experience with KATALON for Test Automation to log and document bugs in the tracking system.
Experience with one or more of the following other languages: Python, Java & JavaScript.
Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of cloud providers such as LamdaTest, Kobiton, BrowserStack and Saucelabs.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Basic understanding of database testing (Postgresql, MSSQL,...).
Knowledge of test management tools and agile development methodologies is a plus.
Relevant certifications in software testing or API testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
Qualification & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or BCA or MCA or a related tech education.
