• Responsible for building, developing, maintaining, and executing the manual automated testing solutions.
• Analyze and recommend test strategies, process improvements and standards.
• Assist in demonstrating developed solutions to business partners and stakeholders.
• Participate in user story refinement with developers and analysts.
• Document test results and communicate to the project team.
• Maintain traceability of test cases to project requirements.
• Develop and execute application performance testing.
• Work towards learning new tools and technology as and when required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience performing manual and automation testing of Murex system.
• Good understanding of Murex 3.x as trading and risk management system
• Good understanding in Murex Front Office modules, pre-trade workflow, Back Office modules, post-trade flows, settlements, and confirmations.
• Good knowledge of Markets Trading system experience, Murex, FX, Commodities, Equities (Front to back testing experience)
• Analyze requirements (business, functional, technical, and design) to create test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Strong knowledge of writing SQL queries, procedures, Database Development tools and concepts.
• Experience in the overall quality of all Murex releases and create/execute test scripts that cover a wide variety of scenarios such as smoke, functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
• Experience and outlook on industry standard commercial and open-source test automation tools in the market.
• Working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Test Rails to log any bugs and test results.
• Perform all aspects of quality assurance during the sprint cycles including test strategies, test case documentation, and test execution.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend QA process and activities supporting software engineering in an agile, scrum team environment, including Story Pointing, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Detail-oriented, demonstrated ability to show initiative, collaborate and foster a team-oriented, results driven culture.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Work with development teams to establish/maintain test environments, including test data and automation framework.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Murex automation tools like ONYX/ ORQA.
• Experience with Murex performance testing.
