Roles and Responsibilities:
The QA Engineer is responsible for all the testing activities right from scenario identification, test automation and exploratory testing etc.
The QA Engineer will also work closely with Developers, BSA and other QA engineers in scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Create and implement test strategies keeping practical test pyramid in mind.
Expand testing coverage by enhancing automated test suite capabilities and adding new tests.
Analyse failures and root cause issues, file defects, follow up with developers, documentation and other teams on the resolution.
Enhance and extend the test automation framework, system, and libraries to test complex, large-scale, distributed systems.
Reproduce customer issues, verify potential fixes, and write automated regression tests.
Key skills:
Experience creating and maintaining API test automation with tools like RestSharp, HttpClient
Experience with UI Test Tool Suite (preferably Selenium Web Driver)
Experience in C# with Selenium Web Driver
Good knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns in test frameworks.
Automation skills experience building and maintaining Automation frameworks and/or framework components.
Good understanding of concepts like TDD, BDD and CI/CD.
Knowledge of source code repository (Git/SVN) along with build tools (Maven/Gradle)
Creative, independent, self-motivated and willing to learn new technology.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Secondary Skills:
Exposure to BDD tools like Spock, cucumber
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or any other cloud infrastructure
Experience in Database testing using SQL queries
Exposure to JIRA-Agile and XRAY tool
Excellent problem-solving skills.
