Responsibilities:
Analyze & understand product features and usage, in order to provide inputs to estimation & schedules, develop effective test strategy.
Define test strategy and automate test cases, maintain automated test cases and execute
Understand the customer usage and define appropriate environment to mimic customer environment for the testing
Understand different quality factors in order to ensure effective test case automation development.
Proposes and advocate automation technology concepts, influence improvements, report potential risk and plan for contingencies
Continuous learning and refinement of testing and automation strategy
Collaborate with development teams in order to understand the features getting developed during the sprint, usage and use cases. Implement this knowledge in automating the test cases
Engage in small scale innovation/value addition in testing and automation.
Understand and keep align with testing and Automation industry trends, adopt best practices.
Contribute to extent of feedback and recommendations to testing and on creating quality automation for the features.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
3-5 years of QA testing hands-on experience with Automation as well as manual.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Understanding of Human Behavior, how computers are used.
Knowledge of software applications running on multiple platform types.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Good knowledge in Manual testing and Automation domains. Should be well verse with Test case and test plan preparation from requirement
Well verse with Test Methodology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Agile Software Development (preferably Scrum).
Technical Skills:
3+ years with strong knowledge in manual testing and Automation domains.
Having knowledge of scripting – Bash, Powershell, Perl or Python & building supporting tools for Testing
Hands-on Automate test cases using JAVA/Selenium, REST, TestNG.
Well versed in OS like - Linux, Windows OS usage and/or Mac.
