We are looking for an IT Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and perform functional and automated testing of ERP and custom applications in a DevOps model. QA engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
Identify, record, document, and track defects.
Perform functional testing, system integration testing, and regression testing.
Perform manual and automation testing.
Work with users and support User Acceptance Testing.
Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, architects, developers, and product managers) to identify requirements.
Track and report quality assurance metrics like defect density, defect leakage, defect escape rate, and open defect counts.
Drive continuous integration process using modern DevOps tool chains.
Drive innovation and continuous service improvements that drives value to the firm, clients, and associates.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience with following skillsets
Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, including agile ceremonies.
Experience working in engineering tools such as Jira, GitHub, Selenium, Cucumber, Junit, test management suites or similar tools.
Experience testing ERP applications, preferably CRM or Finance applications.
Experience working in Cloud and DevOps environment, preferably in Azure or Hybrid cloud.
Must possess good communication skills.
Must possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in testing Salesforce, Oracle and Custom applications is a plus.
Experience with performance testing is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is a plus.
