Job Overview:
Our organization is in search of an experienced and dedicated Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role is tailor-made for an individual who is passionate about ensuring the high quality and reliability of web-based applications. With a strong focus on manual QA methodologies, you will play a pivotal role in testing changes to InDesign templates, new InDesign templates, UI modifications, and backend changes, often in conjunction with new or modified templates and UI enhancements. Experience in automation is a valuable asset for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing: Utilize your expertise in manual testing methodologies to rigorously evaluate changes to InDesign templates, new templates, UI modifications, and backend alterations.
Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.
Test Execution: Execute test cases systematically, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional testing aspects.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate their resolution.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
UI Testing: Validate the user interface (UI) for consistency, usability, and adherence to design specifications.
Backend Testing: Assess backend changes for data integrity, performance, and functionality in coordination with new or modified templates and UI enhancements.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and provide timely feedback.
Automation (If Applicable): Leverage your automation experience to develop and maintain test scripts, with the goal of increasing testing efficiency and coverage.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with QA best practices, tools, and industry trends, and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Skills Required:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, with a strong focus on web-based applications.
Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools.
Experience in testing InDesign templates, UI modifications, and backend changes.
Knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Automation experience (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a valuable plus.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
