We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to perform the manual exploratory tests to ensure the product quality as well as to develop and execute the automation tests. This is a permanent and full-time position located in Trimble Information Technologies India Private Limited, Chennai.
Main Responsibilities
This specific position requires a focus on Functional testing, Integration testing, and Automation testing.
Develop test cases based on the requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files and other project documentation to assure the quality of the products.
Generate Test Reports, log bugs and track bugs to closure.
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
Provide necessary test data to the development team.
Experience in building automation test scripts for web applications.
Design and execute regression test suite using frontend & backend test scripts
Monitor the automation execution, analyze and raise bugs for the failures, then publish the results to the stakeholders.
Plan, organize and execute assignments with very little or moderate supervision.
Expecting to complete tasks within the deadlines.
Skill Set
Should have at least 3+ years of experience in white box testing with 1+ years of experience in automation testing.
Solid understanding of the QA process and QA methodologies.
Good understanding of the role of automated testing within the software development lifecycle.
Experience in automation testing of web applications.
Experience in automation testing tools and frameworks (BDD)
Hands-on experience with at least one programming language.
Hands-on experience with Structured Query Language(SQL) with MySQL or Mongo database.
Good exposure to Continuous Integration tools, Defect tracking tools(preferably JIRA), Agile methodology, Source control systems like Git/Bitbucket.
Testing web applications for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good to Have:
Experience with Postman.
Experience with Jenkins.
