Role Summary/Purpose:
As QA Engineering Manager within the Digital Engineering Organization, you will manage the testing, quality assurance reporting, and progress tracking for the development of mobile and web applications, as well as software integrations. You will be responsible for advanced problem solving and contributing to Process Improvements. You will also be responsible for relaying the priority and delegation of tasks to the QA team so that software development velocity is sustained across the suite of products. As the Quality Assurance Engineering Manager, you will also be responsible for triaging run-time issues with the product. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate competency of task management and delegation, a passion for QA products and processes, cross-platform integration, cross-functional teamwork, experience with Agile methodologies and timely delivery of quality products and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage QA plans that include automated and manual tests whose key milestones, releases, and priorities align with the internal product roadmaps and project plans
Design comprehensive and sophisticated testing scenarios for revealing critical issues
Manage and recap QA stand-up and ad hoc meetings
Set expectations and best practices around testing
Escalate testing blockers to Project Manager and Product Team
Provide weekly status reports and deployment scheduling recommendations
Demonstrate and foster collaboration amongst peers, team members, and external partners
Use task management and QA reporting tools like Atlassian, Grafana, TestRail, and Instabug
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
You’ll be managing a team of QE Engineer and help them to define their career path
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Minimum 1 year of experience in project management or related field in software, digital marketing or internet-enabled technologies
Minimum 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, and managing a team of Quality Engineers or Testers.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle complex resource balancing
Experience working directly with engineers/developers is a huge plus
Previous experience working with and communicating directly with developers and internal stakeholders
Participated in the management of projects and implementations with both large and small corporate organisations
Superior organization skills and adept at multi-tasking
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
An analytical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
A “can do” attitude with an ability to hit the ground running and learn on your feet
Flexibility and a willingness to wear many hats
High level of initiative and can work well in a team environment
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field minimum 5+ years of experience in manual or automation testing for digital web and/or native mobile applications along with any testing frameworks, or in lieu of a degree 7+ years of experience in manual or automation testing for digital web and/or native mobile applications along with any testing frameworks
