Job Overview:
The QA lead will be responsible for driving functional and automation testing solutions in the WabtecOne space.
As part of this role, the QA lead will be working closely with the Functional and Technical leads across various applications, COE, and Infrastructure teams to deliver the right business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum 8 years’ experience in functional and automation testing supporting software for enterprise-class systems
Minimum 2 years working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong grip on understanding business requirements, technical aspects of software testing
Guides, Develops, and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
Works with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
Demonstrates the ability to understand, debug and contribute to code base.
Applies principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
Able to implement and customize suitable framework for Regression Test Automation
Communicate development status to project teams and management.
Provide mentorship to junior level engineers
Program planning, coordination, and risk management for the project
Challenge the status-quo, keep high standards for quality and customer satisfaction
Technical Expertise:
Have strong working experience in Manual Testing, Automation Testing.
Hands-on & experienced with client server-based applications testing using manual and automation tools.
Experience on various frameworks like Keyword Driven, TestData Driven and Behavioral Data Driven (Cucumber)
Experience on Java Programing
Involved in providing Test estimations for each project
Knowledge and work experience in API testing using Jmeter and POSTMAN
Knowledge in checking Responses through POSTMAN
