Job Description

Role:
As QA Lead, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, and reporting. Responsible for quality assurance of software, with emphasis on the development and implementation of test cases. You will be working closely with developers as they develop code to ensure requirements are being met and to the correct quality, and you will conduct automated (and manual tests where necessary) to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. During testing, you will be thinking “outside of the box” to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained and through doing so drive regression testing across the products. Proactive ‘self-starter’ attitude. Lifelong learner – thrives from developing and sharing knowledge. You will be collaborating with clients and vendors during implementations.

Responsibilities:
Manage a team of at least 4-8 members.
Lead/Mentor Test Engineers and share knowledge to make sure QA staff meets the technical qualifications required for their positions.
Assists in formulating QA standards and best practices, organizational policies and processes, and strategic plans.
Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
Work as part of cross-functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
Execute test cases (manual or automated), analyze the results, and help troubleshoot issues.
Reviews client requirements and provides feedback with effort estimation and risk/challenges.
Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results.
Ensure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team members on the status of quality.
Use appropriate measures and KPIs to validate and report on software quality.
Work closely with the software engineering team, Product Management, and Technical Operations as well as business users and Senior Management, as required.
Be a creative thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional ‘edge cases’ outside of expected functionality workflow. Have the drive to become an expert in:
Unit Testing
UX Testing
UI Testing
Define the scope of testing in projects.
Demonstrate expertise in UI and API testing, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Make proactive contributions to continuous improvement in quality processes.
Implement and capture QA metrics/records.
Help to identify the risk and input for quality improvement.
Raise and triage defects as necessary.

Required Skills:
Efficient in Manual QA Processes, Reviews, Documentation, and using industry-standard tools.
Experience in Agile and Scrum Software development processes.
Exposure to Automation testing using any industry standard tools like Selenium.
Experience in working with AGILE process management methodology and corresponding tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/QC, etc.
Experience in API Testing, Soap UI, RESTFul Services. Integration testing of APIs.
Hands-on experience in DB (database) Schema testing.
Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments.
Strong presentation skills.
Proficient in Excel and SQL.
Good written and verbal skills.

Experience:
Total Experience: 7+ Years.
5+ years of experience in Manual testing.
2+ years of experience in API (Soap UI, Postman tool).
2+ years of experience in DB Schema testing.
Healthcare domain knowledge will be an added advantage.
DevOps CI-CD exposure/knowledge will be an added advantage.
