Job Description

Catchpoint is looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Manager to join our product engineering team.
The main responsibilities of the position require assuring a consistent quality of our software product by enforcing best testing practices and processes, managing and growing the team, and providing guidance and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build the quality assurance team by recruiting, orienting, and training team members
Communicate job expectations, policies, and processes within the team
Closely work with the development teams as part of agile development process in testing user stories and defects
Oversee and help with the design and implementation of functional test plans and test cases based on system understanding and analysis of functional specifications
Participate in planning meetings and assist with test effort estimation
Maintain and improve product quality by following best practices and implementing a sound testing framework and process
Clearly & effectively communicate with the product development team to share and clarify issues
As needed, communicate with product and support teams to help identify and resolve product defects
Supervise and help with expanding the current test cases to ensure complete test coverage
Get regular status updates from the team and pass on information to the product engineering team
Participate in product release efforts ranging in scope from small to large

SKILLS:
5+ years of hands-on software testing experience including functional, and non-functional testing
Experience in test planning, test case documentation and test effort estimations.
Knowledge of industry best practices in software development and Quality Assurance policies and practices.
Experience in SDLC and agile development
Experience with automation tools such as Selenium
Familiarity with SQL, Programming & API Testing
Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment with minimal supervision
Excellent written & verbal communication, and analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BE Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar.
10+ years of experience in the software industry having at least 3+ years of people management experience
