Job Description

The candidate will be responsible to deliver high quality and high performing products to the marketplace at an optimal cost. The QA Manager will be responsible for helping define and manage QA processes and a QA team. The QA manager will create efficiencies and process improvements by establishing project management processes and achieving segment/organizational goals. The QA Manager will act decisively on his/her own authority when timely action is needed and ensure that the team is delivering incremental Business Value. He/she will provide regular status updates to management, anticipate risks and highlight challenges as well as oversee the end-to-end project delivery, from the concept inception and business case preparation through to implementation and post implementation reviews. Proficient in Agile development methodologies, superb organizational skills and detail oriented, the ideal candidate would provide leadership to the QA department and coordinate activities across the IT team while maintaining industry best practices.

Other responsibilities 
Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and SDLC is required
Knowledge on Enterprise Agile or Lean Agile methodologies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Expertise in Estimation techniques
Ability to understand and apply basic metrics gathering techniques
Good experience and knowledge of software technologies
Must possess the ability to define and document processes and standards for emerging applications
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Exceptional problem-solving skills, good communicator and strong influencing skills
Manage Testing Scope, SLAs (if any), Performance Metrics, Communication, Risk & Issues etc.,
Should have exposure to CMMI levels and different organizational audits

Skill set required:
10 to 12 years of IT experience with 5+ years as QA Manager.
Should have good understanding in manual and automation testing using UFT.
Should have Healthcare experience.
Should have managed the teams handling various testing types – Functional, End to End, System Integration, Performance Testing etc.
Having the knowledge of FACETS is a plus
Having the experience of handling testing for Migration projects is a plus
Create the software test plan, get it reviewed and approved/ signed-off by the relevant stakeholders
Should be efficient in managing the project schedules, efforts, cost
Should be efficient in tracking/monitoring and controlling the project throughout the life cycle
Should be efficient in understanding project management framework, process groups
Experience in an Agile/ SCRUM development environment/process
Should have excellent communication skills (Speaking/Writing/Presentation).
Standardized and Implement QA methodology and processes for development projects
Derive QA objectives from corporate business goals and objectives
Develop a QA strategy to achieve objectives and prepare a QA Roadmap and QA Integrated Program Plan based on prioritized objectives
Review and evaluate existing Quality Assurance/testing processes
Identify and analyze required processes to achieve objectives and ensure the process definition and deployment
Drive business-oriented innovation and operational excellence
Facilitate product specific testing strategy and test management plans
Ensure the returns on initiatives as per business case are achieved i.e. testing automation, performance testing etc.
Assure the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential QA/testing tools both new and existing
Develop, maintain and ensure that a standard testing methodology and process is followed. Ensure that all test cases are documented and maintained in the test case repository. Ensure that evidence of testing and test artifacts can be generated for delivery to partners, customers or other entities.
Develop Integrated quality plan for Systems & QA and ensure successful execution of it
Ensure QA meets the expectations of the business and QA Roadmap
Drive the effort to develop business case and demonstrate incremental Business Value
Manage project inter-dependencies and risks to ensure project efforts remain in synchronization
Set performance targets and thresholds and define key success criteria
Ensure the viability of Systems/QA plan from the business perspective
Lead project teams to successful completion of the projects and MBI’s
Ensure processes and tools are followed/utilized to achieve success
Ensure timely retrospection, performance analysis and benefit realization for each project
Report Systems and Quality dashboards with analysis and recommendations to Senior/Executive Management
Identify, manage and communicate risks defined by QA to management and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments
Understand, communicate and manage all intra-program dependencies
Inspire and mobilize teams to perform and deliver
Provide training opportunities and support to Systems team members
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with peers and other departments
Manage and ensure timely response to support issues
Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to teams, peers and management
Forecast resource requirements to manage the business
Estimate and manage human and non-human resources (e.g. software, hardware etc) required to achieve the project QA objectives
