We are looking for an experienced QA Team Lead to oversee our Quality Assurance team and ensure that our products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for leading teams to excellence.
Lead and mentor the QA team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Plan, prioritize, and manage testing activities and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated tests.
Collaborate closely with the development and product management teams to align testing strategies with business goals.
Track and communicate team performance metrics, including test coverage, defect densities, and open defect counts.
Continuously improve QA processes and practices, keeping abreast of industry best practices.
Ensure all issues are documented and tracked using the appropriate QA tools and systems.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on product design, ensuring that product requirements are achievable and measurable.
Handle escalations and coordinate defect triage meetings to drive issues toward resolution.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, like Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, X-ray, and others.
Proven track record of leading and managing QA teams for software projects.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in writing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Familiarity with various testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies, and others.
Knowledge of performance, scalability, and reliability testing methodologies.
Desirable Skills:
Certifications in Quality Assurance.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Familiarity with programming/scripting in languages like Python, Java, or similar.
