Your role and responsibilities:
Work within a diverse team of quality assurance engineers, collaborating with product managers, business analysis, and application developers
Assure quality and stability of Nasdaq software solutions by understanding business and functional requirements and designing test cases to ensure the correctness of implementation and capture defects within the solution under minimal supervision
Moderate complexity tasks based on the regulatory, design, and testing guidelines where you are expected to exercise good judgment in resolving appropriate actions.
Execution of functional and regression test cases and testing corrections of regulatory changes, bugs, and improvements as part of regular releases as well as when delivering client hotfixes.
After initial tests are complete, test functionality and performance on different platforms (Sybase, MSSQL, etc.) based on project demands determined by PM
Document test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios and maintain the test management system under the lead’s minimal supervision
Build, upgrade, and maintain test environments and relevant test data, Perform functional and non-functional testing, design and development of test documentation
We expect you to have
2+ years of testing experience with SQL
Strong knowledge of software testing methods, types, tools and process
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Intermediate+)
Knowledge of Jira, Zephyr, Xray, and good understanding of the phases of SDLC
Exposure to Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies
Experience with various phases of the test lifecycle (test case/checklists development, test execution, defect tracking)
Good with analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
Experience in financial services, accounting, capital markets, or FinTech, is a plus
Education Qualification
Bachelor/Master in computer science/commerce
