Job Description

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests using the Automated Test Framework (ATF) within the ServiceNow platform. The role involves working closely with internal customers and developers to ensure that ServiceNow applications are thoroughly tested and meet business requirements.

In this role, you will
Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them using ATF where necessary.
Validate the application functionality built by developer(s) and the system administrator prior to promoting configuration into production.
Develop and execute test plans, update documentation, and coordinate test activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
Participate in regression testing specially during the platform upgrades.
Draft quality assurance policies and procedures and ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
Review and provide input to project schedule tasks, levels of effort, duration, testing risks and dependencies.
Create requirements traceability matrices and conduct reviews with business analysts and technical development staff to ensure understanding of business requirements and complete test coverage.
Conduct testing post-mortems to define and document lessons learned and translate them to improvement to the QA framework.
Demonstrate experience in performing end-to-end testing in accordance with an established software testing life cycle and software testing methodology.
Demonstrate strong ability to evaluate constraints, risks and dependencies. Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

In this role, you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
4-6 years of experience in ServiceNow Development, preferably with 2+ years' experience in implementing Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Ability to understand several testing techniques (e.g., performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect - including tracking and addressing of any discovered issues.
Ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks.
A good understanding of software testing types, techniques, tools, processes, and methodologies.
Should have a hands-on working knowledge of using an already existing automation framework (ATF) to solve different testing delivery problems and challenges, and preference will be given to the ServiceNow ATF tool.
Better understanding on ATF structure and understanding the business requirement to customize the ATF scripts.
Solid functional and non-functional end-to-end testing experience of the ServiceNow platform-based products.
Good understanding of all Testing Techniques which includes Smoke testing, Functional testing, Integration testing, System testing, Regression Testing, Stress Testing, Black box testing.
Must have strong technical aptitude and analytic background needed to understand applications and data infrastructure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Experience with ITIL and ServiceNow System Administration is a plus.
