Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with the product managers and development squads to develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases based on acceptance criteria and user problems.
• Create and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for our new product features and solutions.
• Execute manual testing and use automated testing tools to validate the functionalities and performance of our application emulating user behavior.
• Identify and document software defects, issues, and inconsistencies and report them appropriately to the product manager and squad.
• Support in regression testing, verifying issue resolutions, and preventing the introduction of new defects in the new iterations and deployments.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Assist in the validation of software requirements and technical design documents to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Help in troubleshooting and providing support for production issues related to quality and testing.
• Develop and prepare quality data, pass/fail rates and metrics on the testing process.
• Support in the monitoring of software performance after software deployment to prevent reoccurrence of any potential problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
Skills and Requirements
• Strong diligence and the ability to identify and document user problems or areas where the solution did not meet user standards effectively.
• Basic understanding of software development methodologies and quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with test case design and test execution techniques.
• Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, Testmo or TestRail).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to recent technologies and tools.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a passion for ensuring product quality.
