Your Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the creation and execution of manual tests required to validate the quality of the applications under test working closely with SMEs and work stream leads from the relevant business functional areas to meet their requirements.
As a QA Analyst, your role includes working closely with multiple stakeholders to define suitable test strategies based on the characteristics of the individual projects.
Large amounts of testing will relate to the T24 system with a primary focus on AA Accounts, Payments and Treasury and other areas.
Although your role does not directly include creating test automation and performance testing plans, as a QA analyst your role will include reviewing automated test scripts and working with the automation and the performance test team to propose appropriate prioritization of test scripts and assist in trouble shooting issues arising from automated and performance script runs.
The QA team are part of a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications with a mix of agile and waterfall processes.
Creation, maintenance, optimization and execution of manual test scripts which need to be scalable, highly performant, maintainable and meet high quality standards.
Participate in peer reviews of manual test scripts to ensure adherence to testing standards.
Support and maintain the defect management process working closely with development, support and vendors.
Adhere to and support standard QA procedures and methodology.
Work closely with members of the Test team.
Work closely with members of the Development team
Work closely with members of the Business Analysis team and Business stakeholders
Work closely with members of the Project Management team.
Communicate and report on assigned tasks to QA Lead/Manager and PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
About You:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or similar discipline.
ISTQB Software Certification.
2+ years experience in Temenos T24 system.
2+ years in a Financial Services led company with knowledge of Financial Accounting, Investment Banking, Custody or Hedge Fund Services industry.
2+ years’ experience in a functional testing specific role.
Knowledge in QA processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies.
Experience with the following applications/tools: JIRA, Xray and Confluence.
Able to set priorities, to be flexible with a high degree of accuracy.
Proactive person willing to accept responsibility with very little hand-holding.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
Flexibility in work schedule according to changing project and business needs.
Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks.
Must be able to work in high-pressure environment, either independently or as part of a team.
