CatalystOne is looking for a meticulous and highly organized Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring the highest quality in software products through a combination of manual and automated testing methodologies.
What will you do as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Test Planning and Strategy
Collaborate with the development team and product manager to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
Develop and maintain a test strategy that includes both manual and automated testing approaches.
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.
Test Automation
Develop, and consistently maintain automated test scripts utilizing industry-standard automation tools like Selenium or equivalent frameworks.
Implement and sustain test automation frameworks, ensuring test repeatability and scalability.
Execute and closely monitor automated test suites, conducting in-depth analyses of results for defects and performance issues.
Manual Testing
Perform manual testing as needed, especially in areas that are not suitable for automation.
Document test cases, test data, and test results.
Bug Tracking and Reporting
Identify and report bugs in a clear and structured manner.
Document the root-cause analysis
Work closely with developers to resolve issues and validate fixes.
Regression Testing
Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not introduce new defects.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve the overall testing process and implement best practices.
Collaboration and Prioritization
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure product quality.
Determine which tasks are the most critical and allocate your time and attention accordingly.
Test Environments set up.
Set up and manage test environments to simulate real-world scenarios.
What will you need:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, specializing in test automation.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in using test automation tools and frameworks.
Experience in API automation with Rest Assured, SOAP UI is an added advantage.
Tool Familiarity:
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Testlink.
Experience contributing to automation of testing activities, including Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and Database testing.
CI/CD Knowledge:
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Additional Skills and Certifications:
Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
ISTQB or similar certifications are a plus.
Experience with load and performance testing tools like JMeter is an added advantage.
