The Quality Assurance Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure required to maintain Quality Assurance for a web-based, data-driven engineering application. The successful candidate will build and maintain testing environments, as well as choose, implement, and maintain test automation systems for testing mathematical simulations, REST APIs, and browser-based user interfaces. The Quality Assurance Infrastructure Engineer will also be charged with creating test systems and running test cases for performance and load testing and security testing.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Quality Assurance Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
Build and maintain test environments for regression testing a web-based, data-driven engineering application
Choose, implement, and maintain test environments for testing mathematical simulations, browser-based user interface testing, REST API endpoint testing, and regression testing
Choose, customize, and maintain a test automation and reporting framework, including notifications of test statistics to developers and other stakeholders
Build and maintain a repository of test cases to which the Quality Assurance team will contribute
Develop and implement test plans for application performance and load testing
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college
Three years’ experience in software development roles (design, development, devops, QA)
Desired Characteristics
Experience with test automation and reporting tools
Experience with load testing strategies for web-based applications
Experience with browser-based user interface testing and reporting
Experience with Lean methodologies
Self-starter with the ability to initiate and lead projects through to completion
Ability to work with geographically-distributed teams
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, developers, and management
Strong writing, speaking, and communication skills
