Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful Quality Assurance Manager will be obsessed with customer experience, quality improvement, and challenge the status quo. In this role, you will:
• Hire, manage, train, and lead a team of testers focused on web based software testing and data testing, integration testing, DB testing, regression testing and building automation capabilities.
• Oversee the development and execution of test plans, test strategies and monitoring and reporting on test execution
• Scope, create and maintain end-to-end test systems for new and existing set of features within the product
• Coordinate test approaches, test cases, and test methodology with remote teams across the Exxat ecosystem.
• Ensure the quality of our software product exceeds both the internal and external customers’ expectations
Basic Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• About 10+ years of overall experience and at least 5+ years in a QA Manager role.
• Strong background in software QA processes for web-based Applications and/or SQL/NO-SQL DB’s along with web-cloud based applications.
• Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing QA team consisting of SDETs and QAEs.
• Strong QA and Automation background with experience in identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results.
• Proven track record in identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong project management skills, preferably with experience in an agile development environment.
• Excellent quality and release management skills
• Work with geographically distributed business and development teams.
• Solid track record for delivery of high-quality products.
• Experience in preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stake holders to set and drive quality goals.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
• Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple test executions simultaneously and can synthesize the results.
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
• Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
• Understanding of Java technologies, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Ability to write/review the code in at least one high level language like Java, C, C# etc.
