The Software Quality Assurance lead/Tester role is responsible for analyzing business and technical specifications to define & execute test cases and capture & track defects.
What you will be responsible for
As Quality Assurance [SQA] - Officer you will
Analyze business and technical specifications
Define functional and regression test cases
Create automation test scripts that provide coverage for defined test cases
Execute automation scripts and capture/save test backup documentation
Work closely and collaborate with other team members in a Kanban/Agile team environment as well as a Waterfall environment
Report and track defects/bugs
Lead the team and have the responsibility of the QA work.
To coordinate with all stakeholders in the program – Dev/Business/PM teams.
Work with team members to research and resolve issues/impediments utilizing proven problem-solving skills
These skills will help you succeed in this role
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
Proficient in HPQC/ALM for test case and defect tracking is must.
Proficient in RTC/JIRA is required.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task and to take the initiative when needed
Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with all partners in the Software Development Lifecycle such as business and development.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
The candidate must have 9 years of software quality assurance test experience.
Work experience in Financial Industry is must.
Knowledge on UTP and Selenium automation tools is highly preferred.
