Deep knowledge of a variety of common accessibility barriers people with hearing, physical, speech, cognitive and visual disabilities experience.
Knowledge and understanding of current laws regarding accessibility, including Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act and WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
Expert in accessibility testing against the WCAG 2.1 (AA) Success Criteria and updated Section 508 federal requirements using the following methodologies: visual analysis, screen reader reviews, color sampling, keyboard only, and gesture only.
Expert level understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS®, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds the needs of internal and external customers.
Ability to work independently, in a team, and with or without direction.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to accurately and thoroughly document work and keep documentation up to date.
