As a Quality Engineer:
Gain understanding on how the application works (to become the user expert).
Participate in creating test strategy in line with “shift-left” approach.
Test, in collaboration with other squad members, microservices, APIs and integration workflows using defined test strategies that will enable the most efficient solutions delivery.
Develop automated/manual tests for functional and non-functional testing during system and system integration testing.
Report the progress of testing activities to the squad.
Help identify and drive improvements to test practices and process.
Help out with hiring testing resources.
Defect capturing, prioritising, following up resolution and retesting defects.
Liaising with Product owners and Support team to organise UAT activities and resolve issues.
Creating Test Summary Report when required.
Contribute to regular Showcase sessions.
Share knowledge and provide assistance to other team members.
What will you bring?
Overall experience of 13+ years in manual and automated testing (Mandatory)
Knowledge and experience in automated testing using Javascript/Typescript (Mandatory)
Cucumber, Specflow or any other BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) framework (Mandatory)
Extensive experience in API testing (Mandatory)
Proficient in Sql
Experience in business or systems related to banking industry, and specifically Transaction Banking
Soft Skills:
Understanding of agile behaviours and the role of testing in an agile team with focus on “shift-left” (Mandatory)
Skills in software delivery with a continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent communication, and presentation skills
Excellent debugging and analysis skills
Self-starter and ability to work collaboratively in a highly autonomous squad team environment delivering values & wins
