As a Quality Engineer you will Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks , performing end to end testing in the Payments Messaging platform for ANZ and also support the platform. You will partner closely with analysts, engineers and Product Owners to understand the requirements and to ensure the delivery of work meets customer expectations.
The Quality Engineer is critical to making this happen and will;
Play a key role in Automation and manual Testing using the payment domain skill and technical mastery in automation tools and technologies.
Showcase thorough knowledge of the principles of Integration, API and backend testing; contribute towards the evolution of the test engineering practices.
Analyse and verify best automated and manual test approaches and execute acceptance, integration, installation and system testing
Achieving high level of efficiency and effectiveness in testing deliverables
Collaborate with the Product Owner, Developers, Business analysts and other people in the Squad to identify risks and help to prevent and fix bugs as they arise, improving quality from the outset. (Test early and test often)
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and to understand and manage stakeholder expectations.
What will you bring?
Overall experience of 7+ years in manual and automated testing (Mandatory)
Knowledge and experience in automated testing using Javascript/Typescript (Mandatory)
Cucumber, Specflow or any other BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) framework (Mandatory)
Good experience in API testing (Mandatory)
Proficient in Sql
Understanding of agile behaviours and the role of testing in an agile team with focus on shift-left
Soft Skills:
Good debugging and analysis skills
Experience in business or systems related to banking industry, and specifically Transaction Banking
Good communication, and presentation skills
Self-starter and ability to work collaboratively in a highly autonomous squad team environment delivering values & wins
