Defines the methods to monitor process adherence in the project, and monitors process adherence against the plan.
Should have good knowledge on ASPICE.
Should be very good understanding of entire SDLC and agile.
Good knowledge of the relevant quality standards and frameworks and of the applicable Quality Management System.
Unbiased and objective to be able to report the right status on process adherence in the project.
This role should not be mixed up with the possible delegation of some part of the Project Manager's role to a quality specialist within the project.
Due to the independence of the quality organization, the QA Engineer reports in solid line to the Quality Manager and only in dotted line to the Project Manager.
The QA Engineer belongs to a "Process Excellence" team of the Corporate Quality function.
This also means that the QA Engineer should not be assigned with the task to define or implement the Quality Plan, except for the process adherence monitoring part.
