Job Description

Manage team (10–12 mid-level QA engineers) as well as be an individual contributor and working on multiple projects

Develop and communicate the overall quality strategy in alignment with business objectives.

Create comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, security, and other testing aspects.

Establish and implement an effective test automation strategy to improve testing efficiency.

Optimizing existing process, reusable methods and Artifacts which helps in improving efficiency and productivity

Solving complex problems by applying creativity, innovation, and technical concepts with customer experience in mind

Interacts with Subject Matter Expertise (SMEs) and development teams to identify and refine test requirements.

Identify and address skill gaps within the team through training and professional development programs.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

Define and track key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Lead root cause analysis investigations into defects and incidents, implementing preventive measures.

Identify and assess project risks related to quality, providing mitigation plans as necessary.

Oversee the execution of comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Assess and communicate the readiness of software releases, serving as a quality gate for production deployment.

Qualifications

12-15 years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 3 years of people management experience for a team size of at least 10, including goal setting, appraisals, coaching (Must)

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or comparable field of study (Must)

Strong knowledge of test automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices.(Must)

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. (Must)

Structured way of working and assertiveness. (Must)

Willingness to make decisions and take responsibility.(Nice to Have)

Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. (Nice to Have)

Proven experience in developing and implementing quality strategies for SaaS products.(Nice to Have)
