Job Summary:
Senior SDET works closely with software engineers, other technical leads, architects, Engineering Manager, and product management to design and build highly scalable connectors platform.
Senior SDET is expected to participate in UATs, improving Test Automation, bring in the innovation in Test Automation, Debugs software products, maintain quality standards, develop and execute software test plans and automated scripts and involved in customer communication.
Job Duties:
Participate in technical design and implement best practices and guidelines.
Engage in continuous automated and manual testing activity throughout agile development iterations to ensure zero defects.
Participate in iteration planning, providing input on required testing tasks, process, and associated effort for the selected user stories.
Create and manage bug reports, ensuring they are clearly communicated to the team and addressed in a timely, thorough, and satisfactory manner
Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
Work with team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and come up with best solution.
Participate and coordinate with Software engineers to build POC and demonstrate POC to stakeholders.
Focusing on security aspects, observability, scalability and telemetric.
Perform peer reviews and ensure to follow standards and best practices in Test Automation. Optimize Test Automation code to improve the efficiency.
Collaborate with other teams to solve cross functional challenges.
Ensure not to create any technical debts. Take necessary corrective measures to address problems in application.
Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality. Be a passionate voice of the customer within the development organization.
Plan and execute Product release. Identify and share risks. Prepare plan to mitigate risk.
Implement and follow agile/scrum processes.
Have great understanding of the NetSuite SuiteApps (Products) and other linked Products of Avalara.
Qualification:
4 year Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
8+ years' experience in Test Automation Development, Functional Testing, Release planning and Release Execution.
Experience with test methodologies and software engineering.
Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
Experience in working in an Agile team with hands on with TDD, BDD.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to be able to solve complex problems and critical production issues.
Hands on experience on test automation with latest test automation strategies.
Experience on API automation.
Experience with Selenium and Java.
(Nice to have) Knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools.
(Nice to have) Functional knowledge of NetSuite ERP and SuiteCommerce.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience with Test Automation suite.
Testing Experience with NetSuite
