Create and own the test plan. Provide QA estimations whenever needed and lead discussions with project stakeholders.
Understand product needs and requirements and translate them into test cases, follow test plan schedule and scope to perform testing and report defects.
Identify gaps between project requirements and development specifications.
Own and perform testing in each phase of SDLC, focussing on End-to-End testing between systems.
Plan and develop a robust test automation solution. Champion increased adoption of test automation for effective testing.
Support release management. Ensure exit criteria are met before moving code to different environments.
Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with development and QA managers, product owners and solution specialists.
Provide feedback on process improvement when there’s opportunity and strive to apply testing best practices.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Technical expertise.
A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software testing
Expertise on atleast anyone programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Behavior Driven Development automation of backend services (Behavior Driven Development / JBehave / Python / Cucumber / Java / REST)
Create API test cases and test REST APIs.
Experience in API test tools like POSTMAN, SOAP UI etc.
Experience in developing API automation suite Experience in test automation on PyTest framework would be preferred.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Experience in writing UI Test automation scripts.
Expertise on automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Karma-Jasmin, Protractor, etc.
Expertise on Adoption of BDD Methodology like cucumber, JBehave, behave, etc.
Experience in version control and CI/CD tool like GITLab.
Desired Skills:
Expertise in one or more scripting languages like shell or python, working knowledge of Linux.
Expertise on API or Service level Automation like Rest Assured, SOAP, etc.
Proficient in functioning in an Agile team
Working knowledge of Containers & Virtualization Technologies including Dockers and Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of technologies used for Continuous Integration/Continuous Development & Continuous Testing.
Knowledge of measuring performance KPI’s, throughput, responses, etc. using JMeter, Load Runner, etc.
Experience in Healthcare domain
