Job Description

Responsibilities:

Test Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with the development team to define test objectives, strategies, and test plans.

Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.

Identify and prioritize test scenarios and cases for automation.

Automation and Tools:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts.

Implement and execute automated tests for regression, functional, and performance testing.

Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

Bug Tracking and Reporting:

Identify and report defects using a standardized bug tracking system.

Collaborate with the development team to isolate, debug, and resolve issues.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with industry best practices in testing and test automation.

Propose and implement improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Collaboration, Communication and Mentoring:

Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and quality assurance team members to ensure product quality.

Communicate test results, progress, and issues effectively to stakeholders.

Mentor junior Software Development Testing Engineers.

Requirements:

Based out of Bangalore and Work From Bangalore Office

Worked for a startup (Fintech preferred) for at-least 1-2 years (last work exp at a startup preferred)

Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes (at-least 2 years)

Experience working with Frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Gatling

Testing Experience :

Java Applications (at-least 2 years)

SQL DB Testing – PostgreSQL (at-least 1-2 years)

NOSQL DB Testing – MongoDB (at-least 1-2 years)

AWS Integrations – SQS, Lambda, RDS, S3, MSK, ElastiCache (at-least 1-2 years)

Applications with Change Data – Debezium, Kafka, Avro etc (at-least 1-2 years)

Event Driven Applications – Apache Kafka, AWS MSK, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Amazon SNS etc (at-least 1-2 years)

Performance Testing and Load Testing tools – JMeter, Gatling

Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools – GitHub Actions, Circle CI, Argo CD are preferred

Test Management tools – TestLink, TestRail
