As an SDET Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, strategies, and processes. You will lead a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts. Ensure test automation aligns with the overall software development process.
Identify and prioritize test cases for automation to maximize test coverage. Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to the automated testing process.
Collaborate with the dev team to design and execute performance and scalability tests. Analyze and interpret performance test results to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Ensure the reliability and efficiency of the CI/CD process.
Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to define comprehensive test strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for testability.
Develop test plans and ensure comprehensive test coverage for software releases.
Work closely with QA teams to ensure the execution of manual and automated test cases. Investigate and report software defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
Document and communicate test results and metrics to stakeholders.
Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical and professional skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
Experience in building test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG), performance testing and mocking frameworks/tools.
Experience in delivering complex, large scale projects independently and in collaboration with others.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), new age testing methodologies and AI driven test design, execution and automation.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
