Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
• Participate in manual testing of backend services
• Analyze requirements, develop test strategy and design test cases
• Document defects, look for ways to reproduce and verify fixes
• Deploy, update and maintain test environments
• Participate in the release process
• Analyze the results of running automated tests
• Automated tests development
• Working on test automation framework together with the development team
• Assist in investigating bugs and other incorrect service behavior
• Work in an Agile team (3-7 people), participate in improving development processes and increasing the efficiency of teamwork

Qualifications:
• 8+ years’ experience in QA
• Strong knowledge and understanding of backend services testing
• Good experience in automation using Jest, Mocha, Typescript/Node.js
• Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP stack, Rest API, PubSub concept, Shared Editing Frameworks concepts i.e. Yjs.
• Requirements analytical processing, knowledge of requirements management
• Strong knowledge of test planning techniques and approaches, good skills of usage the test design tools
• Strong analytic and decision-making skills
• Excellent in test execution
• Strong knowledge and understanding of features and differences of modern and main development processes/cycles, ability to demonstrate work in certain development models. Strong knowledge and understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall. Understanding requirements of CI/CD process that enables frequent product releases
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and excellent in defect tracking
• Practical knowledge of any wide-spread bug tracking system usage (e.g. Jira), knowledge and understanding of such systems main features. Basic in source-control systems (e.g. Git) usage.
• Practical skills of test management tools usage.
• Ability to work with people as a mentor.
• Skills of systematization, structuring of information and transfer of knowledge.
• English at least Upper Intermediate level
• Creativity, discipline, and attention to details
• Must be a “team player” and able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes

Pluses:
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
• Work experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment
