Summary: We are looking for a Sr Automation Test Engineer with minimum of 10 years of experience with hands on experience in Selenium, UFT or LeanFT, appium and has retail banking or insurance domain knowledge. Candidate should have knowledge on manual testing as well to be successful in this role
Job Responsibilities:
In Automation Testing Activities:
Self-managed individual who can actively build the automation frameworks.
Ability to evaluate the right automation tool and prepare detailed evaluation report
Ability to conduct POC
Ability to produce Automation Test Strategy
Ability to produce Automation coding guidelines
Ability to review and conduct code walkthroughs
Expertise in providing automation solutions
Strong Designing and coding high efficiency tests for scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications
Deploying and managing the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
Good knowledge on Return on Investment, Turn-Around-Time analysis
Should be strong in re-usability and break-even analysis of the automation related areas.
Manage the Daily/Weekly activities of the Test Automation Team Members and support the onboarding of new team members.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers
Maintain and Guide Test Automation Suites Execution and undertake analysis of results to ensure that software meets or Exceeds specified standards and/or client and technical requirements
Work with project stakeholders to determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during System development life cycles.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT services, IT solution functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solutions
Contribute to program/project review meetings. Support Quality Assurance Management in determining status, assessing problem areas, suggesting and reviewing corrective actions, directing/planning necessary extra work, and rework and re-plan activities
Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
Empowered to make decisions and recommend approach based on the results from quality reviews
In Manual Testing Activities:
Designing testing scenarios for usability testing and occasionally devise the test objective and test plan for the applications in test.
Conduct manual and automation test execution and analyze the results and then submit the results.
Interact with the stakeholders for better understanding of the product requirements or design documents.
Able to perform Automation Feasibility.
Adhere to the delivery testing service standards and timelines.
Ensure that I am risk aware - this may include identifying, assessing, managing or mitigating risks.
Identifying and delivering test data management requirements, environment & test readiness.
Prepare and maintain central documentation repository appropriately as per the set standards.
Undertake the responsibilities as required for ; Leading, guiding and Monitoring the Test analysis, Test procedures and Test suites by applying appropriate test measurements and metrics in the testing team.
Undertake the responsibilities as required for ; Preparing Test Approaches, estimates, Test Plans, daily and weekly reports as well as Test Completion reports as applicable.
Undertaking line management responsibilities as required and ensure that testing team adheres to the Testing model.
SME knowledge of one / more of these : banking, payments, Credit Cards, Head Office, Mortgages, ETL, Insurance and digital / channels.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge in Selenium, UFT/LeanFT, Appium, VB scripting, Java, Excel macro.
Advanced experience in handling automation frameworks in Cucumber, Selenium-Webdriver and TestNG/jUnit.
Basic/Intermediate knowledge : Python, DevOps tools, Networks, Platform & Application security concepts
Database knowledge is a must viz., SQL, stored procedures and other Relational databases.
Exposure to Agile Scrum is a must and exhibit the traits whenever required.
Expertise to ATLC methodology (Automation Testing Life Cycle)
Building new frameworks which are scalable depending on the need.
Experience in building and configuring projects.
Overview Test script execution and management
Review of code and assess the test programs and guide the team towards successful implementations
