About the role:
This position is for a seasoned professional in Test and Validation, who works independently, measures, analyzes, and calibrates equipment on medium to large platforms/projects/systems. Trains lower level team members. Prepares equipment for complex testing on medium to large platforms, and oversees the preparation of equipment for testing on smaller to medium platforms/projects/systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the SQA effort on major products / releases
Responsible for creating test schedules, detailing test cases, test plans, and consolidating, and reporting test results
Responsible for using latest Microsoft technologies to design and maintain automation for existing and new products
Set up test environments for automation activities
Track test coverage and key metrics
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA processes and ensure repeatability
Be a technology champion/mentor and work with others to effectively use new technology to build effective automation
Interact with other departments to gather/understand business requirements.
Ensures strong commitment to on-time, quality delivery of all projects and deliverables
Must be assertive and willing to escalate issues when a project/task is negatively impacted
BS or MS in Computer Science or other engineering degree or equivalent experience
3+ years experience working in SQA Test Engineer role on software development projects
3+ years experience in programming with C/C++/C# or Java
Test Automation experience with GUI (HTTP/XML, JAVA, web services) and non-GUI applications (API, databases)
Experience with RDBMS and SQL , SQL Server Preferred
3+ yrs of test automation experience using at least 1 commercial or open source test tool (Preferred Selenium, Ready API)
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, AZDO, JIRA, Confluence
Experience working with distributed teams is a plus
Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies

Requirements
Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience
Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
University Degree or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
OR
An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
