We are looking for a results-driven team leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a team of off-shore SQA Testers to achieve the organization’s objectives and provide on-time, quality deliverables and ensure system reliability. This role is responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and project leadership to inspire the team to perform at their optimum and create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to maximize our team's delivery potential.
What you’ll do
• Ensure on-time delivery through quality testing
• Partnering with the Tech Lead and on-shore Dev Lead to arrive at sound, best practice testing approaches
• Create and maintain test cases and test plans
• Create and maintain automation testing frameworks
• Contribute to automation test suites as well as manual testing of devices as needed
• Perform load and performance testing on applications
• Execute, maintain, and report results and analytics from automation test suites
• Partner with software engineers and quality assurance engineers to assist with their automation activities
• Assist with replication of complex software issues – including load related - using automated replication techniques
• Work with the product owner, stakeholders, UX, QA and other engineers to create effective solutions
• Participate in all aspects of product delivery, including planning, design, code reviews and cross-platform / cross-browser testing.
• Assist with the diagnoses and resolution of product configuration issues in production environments.
• Reproducing, documenting, and verifying resolution of customer/field reported issues.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to features, functionality, design and performance
• Has strong technical understanding of the overall product, including performance characteristics
• Collaboratively participate in Agile ceremonies
• Provide mentoring to junior team members
• Ensure the maintainability and quality of code through testing and use
• Hands-on management of a team/teams of SQA testers
Qualifications
Proficiency with Java (or similar object-oriented language) as well as some SQL
• Expertise in automation experience using Junit, Selenium, Katalon, TDD and BDD
• Experience with Data Driven or Key Driven Test Automation
• Experience with multiple software test automation, load testing, and performance testing suites
• Experience working with and testing applications that are deployed in the public cloud (Azure preferred), leverage NoSQL and SQL Database Systems, employ microservices and/or containerization
• Experience with JIRA software to manage defects
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to use wide variety of tools and techniques to determine root cause of complex performance or load related software issues
• Able to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion and judgement
• Experience with security best practices
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
• Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment
• 8 or more years of applicable software engineering experience
• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
