We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional testing, API testing, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough functional testing of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements.
Design and execute test cases and test scenarios based on software requirements and user stories.
Conduct API testing to validate the integrity and functionality of application programming interfaces.
Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems, such as Jira or Bugzilla.
Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to provide testing updates and contribute to the overall development process.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the organization.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software testing.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Manual Tester, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
Qualifications
B.tech/ MCA, having relevant experience in software testing.
