Role & Responsibilities:
Provide accurate implementation level estimates and deliver on them.
Own areas of testing and work as an individual contributor to deliver tested components from UI, UX, API, Database and end to end functional as well as non-functional perspective
Understands software quality best practices, test strategy and planning, test development, deployment and execution, test data preparation and reporting, etc.
Effectively collaborate and communicate with all project stakeholders, represent the team
Ensure timely status on a day to day team activities
Competencies & Skills:
B.Tech. / MCA degree from a reputed university
5 to 8 years of QA experience
Must be a self-learner who is eager to learn new technologies/ languages/ tools and use them as project demands
Excellent in Functional testing aspects with a positive attitude
Proficient at understanding, analyzing and decomposing requirements and building a testing strategy around them
Proficient in writing good quality test cases and defect logging using any test management and defect tracking tool/s
Having the experience to work as part of big integrated teams
Experience in leading a team working on different projects
Should have good experience working on various Test management and defect management tools
Experience in doing the end to end testing including backend, databases, log debugging and not just UI testing
Experience in API Testing using Rest assured Postman or SOAP UI is a must
Should be well versed with Databases and functional testing concepts
Knowledge of performance testing using JMETER, Neoload is a BIG PLUS.
Act as a functional expert and able to suggest product managers about improvements.
Having some experience in developing an application will be a plus
Good experience in Selenium automation using Java will be a big plus
Should have experience working in Agile as well as Waterfall models
Should be conversant with framework design (Keyword-driven testing, data-driven testing, hybrid testing.)
Should be well versed with testing methodologies and basics
Interest and experience in automating smoke, acceptance, functional, regression test suites will be a plus
Experience in Test Designing, Test cases, Test scripts & Test Reporting
