About the Job Role:
As a Senior Mobile Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and functionality of our mobile applications across different platforms (iOS and Android). You will play a critical role in designing test strategies, creating test plans and executing test cases to identify and resolve issues before deployment. Your expertise in mobile testing and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards that our clients expect from our mobile products.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the development team and product managers to understand project requirements and ensure testability of new features and enhancements.
Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects, performance issues and usability concerns.
Develop, maintain and enhance automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure overall application stability.
Continuously monitor and report on the testing progress, defect status and overall product quality to stakeholders.
Analyze test results and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of mobile applications with backend systems.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in mobile testing and incorporate them into the testing process.
Mentor and guide junior test engineers, providing technical support and fostering their professional growth.
Requirements & Skills:
Proven 5 to 7 years of experience in mobile application testing, with a focus on iOS and Android platforms.
Solid understanding of mobile testing methodologies, best practices, and testing tools.
Experience in designing and executing manual test cases as well as creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
Proficiency in using mobile testing frameworks and tools such as Appium, Selenium, XCTest, Espresso or similar.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, document and track issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
