Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer to lead our performance testing efforts and drive excellence in the evaluation of software application performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated performance test strategies, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our performance testing processes and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our software applications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive performance test strategies and plans.
Provide technical leadership in the execution of complex performance tests, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing requirements and objectives.

Mentorship and Training:
Mentor and guide junior performance test engineers in best practices, methodologies, and tools.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of the performance testing team.
Act as a subject matter expert in performance testing, staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Advanced Performance Testing:
Design and execute advanced performance tests, including stress testing, resiliency testing, and scalability testing.
Analyze and interpret performance metrics to identify opportunities for system optimization and improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with development, quality engineering, and system operations teams to influence architectural decisions and improve system performance.
Communicate performance test results and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Automation and Innovation:
Drive automation efforts in performance testing, ensuring efficiency and repeatability.
Explore and implement innovative performance testing techniques and tools.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Significant experience (8+ years) in performance testing and engineering roles.
Proven leadership experience in guiding and mentoring performance testing teams.
In-depth knowledge of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Solid experience of CI and Azure DevOps
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C) for test automation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

NICE TO HAVE:
Certification in performance testing (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Previous experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as Dynatrace
