We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.
What would you do?
• Collaborate with stakeholders in establishing application requirements, determining features, creating customer-friendly solutions, and determining support needs and performance requirements.
• Test new features and bug fixes of the product before release
• Develop manual and automated tests and execute functional, application, security, performance and regression tests.
• Record, analyze and report on test results and complex issues.
• Review existing code and make valuable suggestions to enhance existing projects
• Interact with QA, Product Owners, and Development team members to understand the testing requirements.
• Participate in planning meetings to iron out a testing plan upfront.
• Test API endpoints using an API Tool like Postman
Technical Skills
The following skills are needed for this role.
Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in web application development and testing
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Primary Skills
• Experience with formal testing procedures to ensure new and modified code is fully tested prior to deployment or release.
• Write and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Experience in Automation testing (preferably Cypress).
• Experience working with automated testing tools.
Secondary Skills (nice to have)
• Experience with team leadership and mentoring
• Understanding of front-end technologies and techniques.
• Understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, DNS, TLS, etc.
• API testing using browser plugins, command-line tools and dedicated API testing tools.
• Programming experience - Java, JavaScript, Typescript, C#, Ruby, Python, PHP, bash, etc. are all valuable.
