We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a deep understanding of automation testing principles, including the ability to develop and maintain effective automation frameworks. Excellent leadership skills are crucial, as you'll be mentoring and guiding your team. A strong background in manual testing methodologies and tools is a plus, ensuring a comprehensive approach to quality assurance.
What you'll do?
Review requirements, quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Create/enhance automation framework.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
Analyse test reports (manual & automation), perform root cause analysis & take corrective actions.
Manage customer interaction / coordination & handle escalations.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, open defect counts etc.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies to maintain/update testing environments.
Proactively works with other team members as needed to resolve issues and meet project goals.
Follow defined engineering processes, identify and rectify flaws in the processes.
Perform peer test reviews to identify improvements in test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
4+ years of experience as a web application test engineer with a BE/B.Tech from a reputable engineering college.
Hands-on experience & proficiency in automation testing frameworks like Pytest, Selenium.
Proficiency in API testing (both manual and automated).
Proficiency in any one of the languages like Python.
Good knowledge of OOPs concepts.
Working knowledge of databases.
Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to non-functional testing like Performance, Security, Compliance etc.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans & test cases.
Experience in working with Agile/Scrum development process.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) & customer interaction.
Familiarity with relevant quality assurance industry standard best practices and methodologies.
Exposure to Docker & Kubernetes is a plus.
