We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests to ensure the reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of our software applications. As a Performance Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions for optimization.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop performance test strategies, plans, and scenarios based on project requirements and application architecture.
Implement performance test scripts using industry-standard tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
Execute performance tests to measure system behaviour under various load conditions, including stress, endurance, and spike tests.
Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues.
Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
Collaborate with QA engineers to integrate performance testing into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Monitor application performance metrics in production environments and proactively address any performance degradation issues.
Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in performance testing and contribute to improving the overall performance testing process.
Qualifications
At least 5-7 years of quality assurance experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Java, Python, or Groovy.
Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques for identifying performance bottlenecks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Performance Testing Certification are desirable but not mandatory.
