Key responsibilities:
Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build
Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions
Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios
Review and analyse completeness of test coverage
Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing
Approach for ensuring majority of testing is automated and pipeline. Using Java and Python for automated testing and scripting tasks. And ensuring that testing activities are integrated into the CI/CD
Execute API testing using Postman or similar tools
Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing systems in Cloud-based environment
Collaborate with developer, business analysts and other people in Squad to identify risks early and help fix bugs
Execute Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting
Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work
Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective
Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately
About you:
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester
Demonstratable experience in QA methodologies
Familiarity with all types of testing viz functional, integration, regression, smoke/sanity, acceptance, system testing, non-functional: performance, scalability, load and soak
Good written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate across cross functional teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience required:
3-5 years QA working experience
Proven experience in test planning, test design, test development & execution and defect tracking
Proven experience in both functional test and non-functional test (performance, scalability, high availability, soak, etc)
Experience with either test like restful service, computation engine test, system end to end integration test
Experience on either test automation tools like JMeter, Pytest, Robot etc.
Strong knowledge and skill of Python and Java
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database
Experience in CI/CD
Experience working with Cloud-based data solution system
Experience in UI automation testing is a plus
Experience with agile development model
Financial market knowledge is a plus
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant subject, or can show how you've built up your experience and skills over time 'on-the-job'
Knowledge of professional financial domain is a bonus, but you must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience of crafting successful user experiences that met business and user needs for complex domains
