Position Summary:
Software Quality Assurance Analyst III evaluates and executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards. Develops plans to ensure that software functions as expected. Being a Software Quality Assurance Analyst III prepares complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Analyst III verifies fixes. Documents testing according to required procedures. Solid knowledge of software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
A Day in the Life
Perform manual tests in support of software test requirements
Perform regression testing as needed for both web and desktop applications
.Document defects and collaborate with the development team on managing test results and feedback to developers
Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, test cases
Executing manual tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
Analyzing software requirements and specifications to identify potential issues or gaps.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify requirements, ensuring test coverage.
Conducting functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of software applications.
Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects and issues, and working closely with developers to resolve them.
Designing and maintaining test data, test environments, and test systems.
Participating in code and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality.
Performing root cause analysis and providing recommendations for process improvement.
Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and new testing methodologies.
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure software quality standards are met.

5+ years professional experience performing quality analysis integrated with the software development lifecycle
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
Demonstrated experience in functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Demonstrated experience in API testing.
Demonstrated experience in testing Web and Desktop applications
Ability to perform troubleshooting of issues and environment problems
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and working in Agile teams.
Experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective test strategies and test cases.
Knowledge of software development lifecycles and ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of toolsets such as: Azure DevOps, Relational Databases (SQL Server preferred), Browser developer tools, Postman
Ability to collaborate, validate and prioritize requirements for projects and request
Ability to properly assess and articulate risk.
Preferred Education and Experience:
B.S. or higher in computer science/technology field preferred or equivalent industry experience
