Role Description: The Test Engineer works within scrum teams and infrastructure teams - both internal & strategic vendors, to define Test Strategy and roadmap, Identify & Validate test scenarios & where needed develop high quality technology solutions to maximise standardisation and reuse, in order to ensure that testing reduces in cost while maintaining Deutsche Bank's high quality standards
They will take lead in topics of requirement review, developing test cases, functional test scenarios, test strategy, test plan, environment setup, test execution, defect logging and progress reporting.
They must have hands-on working knowledge on databases and using sql.
Domain knowledge of Trade Finance products (Guarantee, LC’s, Doc Trade Collections, Doc Trade Financing)
They should be able to drive test planning and test management as single point of contact on programs working closely within the development team in an agile framework
Strong communication skills driving and planning UATs with key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
Knowledge of using GIT , SmartGit, Git Bash for pulling and pushing automation code.
Knowledge of Confluence , creation of flows on confluence etc.
Should have experience in Agile project delivery with good understanding of TDD/BDD models.
Proficient in Jira handling. Creating Acceptance criteria, Jira dashboards and structure
Your key responsibilities
Provide inputs to & execution of definition of Test Strategy and roadmap on Trade Finance regulatory programs
Takes ownership of QA strategy and design, development (maintenance of automated scripts when necessary), and implementation in specific system areas for trade finance products
Effectively run system demos to clients on developed functionality
Build efficiencies into program deliveries via new tech, streamlining & improving processes, building and empowering teams to innovate and have client and business centric focus
Provide guidance to a team on functional aspects of product based on domain knowledge
Be hands-on with ability to lead a team, track & monitor KPIs and develop/execute automation scripts (if needed)
Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution
