Job responsibilities:
Development, documentation, and execution of automated and manual tests across all stages of the product development lifecycle following best practices and methods.
Estimate project test efforts, create test strategy, test plan and test cases for new projects.
Work collaboratively with product manager, development, QA, and technical publication teams during all stages of software development life cycle.
Leading a team of Manual Testers.
Creating and Verifying Test Cases and maintaining Test Logs
Recording Test Cases in JIRA and Improving the QA process
Training QA Team Members
Creating and documenting SOPs for the QA team
Knowledge & Skill Sets:
Practical experience in testing of distributed system (debugging techniques / fault isolation)
Experience with version control systems such as Mercurial or GIT, defect tracking and test management systems such as Jira/Zephyr.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies
Extensive knowledge of database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.
Additional Preferences: Knowledge of Knowledge of Selenium, Jmeter,Security Testing etc would be a plus
