Job Responsibilities:
Work in a fast-paced environment in an Agile (Scrum) development team.
Participate in all the scrum ceremonies and release activities as a part of team.
Take complete ownership related to Quality of the deliverables assigned to them.
Prepare test plans, test suites and test data as needed for each sprint/deliverable.
Write functional test cases for sprint/release deliverables.
Execute the manual test cases and record their outcomes.
File bugs wherever requirements are not met, or if the software sees a failure.
Analyse application logs and investigate root cause for reported issues.
Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and other Quality Assurance engineers to triage reported software issues.
Track bugs to closure
Deploy latest code to test environments via automated pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps) and smoke test the builds.
Promptly report testing progress and bug statistics
Build database queries to investigate data related issues.
Keep repositories and test artefacts always updated.
Participate actively in Regression testing for every release.
Ensure adequate test coverage for the entire application.
Work on Production Support as may be needed by the project.
Identify and prioritize test cases to be automated to improve the automation coverage.
On need basis, execute automation test cases and record test outcomes.
Document functionality, troubleshooting steps and known issues for every release.
Mentor junior QAs with a constructive, results oriented approach.
Qualifications and Skills
B. Tech or B.E degree in Computer Science or related engineering streams/ M.S. in Computer Science
6+ years of experience as a Software QA working on Web, Desktop application testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Strong functional testing knowledge and concepts.
Familiar with Database access using tools to review test data/results.
Should have basic to intermediate SQL skills.
Experience in preparing detailed test cases, executing them, and reporting defects.
Experience with working with observability tools such as Elastic-Logstash-Kibana.
Should have experience working in an Agile-Scrum process.
Knowledge on tools such as Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), Jenkins or similar, preferred.
Experience in API testing and tools like Postman is a huge plus.
Experience in Load testing and Performance testing is a huge plus.
Should have good communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work on shifting priorities

Self-starter capable of delivering tasks with close to zero supervision.
