Key Responsibilities:
Manage and direct quality engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain robust testing strategies and processes, and ensure they are properly implemented and followed.
Participate in planning, estimation, and scheduling processes for all testing activities.
Ensure the execution of functional, integration, system, and regression through Manual and Automation test processes on Captive and Auto Finance Sector applications and platforms like FIS, ALFA etc.
Develop/Customise automation frameworks using BDD/Cucumber, JAVA to perform functional/regression/Data migration test cases.
Review application designs, requirements, and specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Implement and manage quality control standards, methods, and procedures to ensure the software meets both technical and customer requirements.
Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks related to software quality at each phase of the software development process.
Coordinate with different teams, including software developers and project managers, to understand and incorporate their input in the testing processes.
Maintain a detailed record of test results and relay these results to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Manage resources effectively ensuring on-time delivery of products.
Mentor, coach and train the quality engineering team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Continually research and implement best testing practices, tools, and methods.
Technical/Functional Skills:
Candidate should have good knowledge on Captive and Auto Finance Sector applications and platforms like FIS, ALFA etc.
Hands on experience in building, scaling, migrating and maintaining automation frameworks.
Handled large scale automation transformation programs for clients from varying domains and geos.
Create roadmaps in test automation to lead to future state.
Craft and pioneer solutions related to Test automation.
Focus on today’s customer problems related to automation, with an eye out for the future.
Build stronger automation teams and mentor them towards excellence.
Ensure decisions are made using data to prioritize and solve for problems.
Apply new technologies to real world in-store customer problems while balancing the cost to scale.
Work with product, technology, and design to engineer automation solutions in short cycle times.
Exposure and experience in architecting Gen AI initiatives towards test automation
To qualify for the role, you must have.
BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
Minimum 14-16 years of total experience in quality engineering in which 5+ years of experience in managing Medium/Large scale test engagements.
Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining frameworks.
Working experience in Agile environment
