Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Build and manage SDET teams, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Be a champion of quality and operational excellence, establish the testing strategy and quality metrics for quality measurement and operational excellence
• Able to drive behaviours and initiatives that both focus on quality and throughput.
• Drive the highly efficient testing frameworks designs and communicate it well to different stakeholders.
• Establish a consistent, testing management including test automation, test design, development processes to deliver high-quality software in rapid iterations
• Implement the cutting-edge testing techniques and test best practices
• Drive the continuous improvements on a testing strategy
• Manage and oversee releases and own the release test strategy
• Manage risks associated with change management
• Identify deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develop solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes
• Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new requirements
• Helps set policies with regard to new process and technologies. Brings new best practices to the teams and actively ensures that they are being used using technical tools (eg: static analysis, code reviews etc)
• Continues to deepen and widen their understanding of the application and drives discussion of sometimes complex issues in open forums such as concept reviews, cross team discussions etc
• Carefully monitors the accuracy and quality of work methods and outputs. Is committed to excellence. Seeks out and applies best practices. Probes and looks past symptoms to determine the underlying causes of problems and issues. Addresses problems with accuracy, speed and thoroughness

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of management experience, 12+ years of relevant SDET/testing experience
• Experience managing release deliverables
• Experience in testing strategy
• Experience in testing large scale applications
• Experience with employee development, performance management, and delivering results
• Problem-solving skills and have the ability to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize feature deliverables
• Presentation and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across a variety of groups
