We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with proven experience in testing Java applications in a SaaS oriented environment.
Your primary focus will be to define and execute the test strategy of Wolters Kluwer’s next-generation SaaS offering for our new regulatory software product line.
You will be engaging with our development teams consisting out of an ideal mix of in-depth functional and technical experts.
Expect a setting where Agile/SCRUM is the prevailing software development methodology with a high focus on technical expertise, communication and team dynamic.
With this new unified regulatory platform we will be targeting our worldwide customer base which consists predominantly out of finance and banking institutions.
Your Responsibilities:
Define the test strategy for the rollout of our SaaS software platform
Actively create user scenarios for automated testing
Setup testing environments both on premises and cloud
Track and report issues in a well-documented format
Manage the complete testing process including reporting.
Develop on and maintain a complex CI/CD pipeline along with integration testing frameworks
Develop and maintain automated tests
Monitor testing line status on a daily basis, inform developers, and follow up to make sure lines stay green
Monitor code coverage status and evolution, as well as code quality and security issues
Coordinate with PO/TO and other functions within team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
Generate quality reports for multiple purposes (PO’s, management, QA team, customers, …) and communicate on quality status to product stakeholders
Ability to troubleshoot tests to identify failure causes
Participating in making sure product releases are conform to policy quality/security wise.
Design, coordinate, contribute to, and maintain end to end testing of integrated solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Essential Qualifications & Competencies
5+ years of experience working with build management/CI tools like Teamcity
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
6+ years of QA experience
Knowledge about static and dynamic code analysis using tools like SonarQube or likewise
Knowledge of JavaEE, good notions of object orientation.
Knowledge of SaaS
Strong experience with Maven
Experience with major web/application servers (WebSphere, WildFly/JBossAS)
Experience with performance testing
Experience with JUnit and Mockito
Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server, at ease with querying the database
Experience with Git
Experience in working in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
Team player with good communication skills (written and oral)
